I’m a professional mountain biker focusing on ultra endurance and stage racing events. I’ve been a pro for the last 7 years, and racing on Topeak Ergon for the last 4 years. I’m a big fan of backcountry riding and adventure on high alpine trails, and I try to keep things fun with a positive, friendly attitude.
My favorite distance to race is the 75-100 mile range, with as much singletrack as possible. And when I’m not riding singletrack, I like to go to yoga, play guitar, race cyclocross, play tennis, trail run, ski, hike, photography, and cook.
I was selected to the USA Marathon World Championships team for both 2010 and 2011. Other big results for me are: 3x 24 hour national champion, 2x winner of the Yak Attack Stage Race in Nepal, 2x Breck Epic Stage Race winner, 3x Bailey Hundo champion, Breck 100 record holder, Inaugural MTB Ayiti Stage Race Winner, Vapor Trail Winner, and more can be found on my results page.
I love to laugh and am very animated and energetic to be around. I love sharing my experiences and connecting with other people. I really believe that if you pursue dreams and believe in yourself, anything is possible. We really can live our dreams.
When I’m not racing, I work in sales and marketing for Ergon , work as a media/marketing consultant, do a lot of writing both for my site and as a freelance adventure journalist for several magazines, and teach clinics.
